Hello 2014!

Happy Belated New Year!!! We have had a great start to 2014 and hope you have to! Christmas and New Years was quiet, but nice and we are thankful we got to spend it with each other in such a beautiful place.

We even had some familiar faces come all the way over to visit us for a couple weeks!!!!! The Winjum's are at the top of our friend and family list for that one ;)
When Matt and Kate were here, we were able to take a couple small trips and enjoy the area! We had the best time with our friends!
David is now officially in the post season! They finished in the top 5 within the league and are now playing the master rounds. This round is the top 5 teams each play each other twice to determine the final seeding going into the playoffs. The other 10 teams will now play to see who will take the last spots in the bracket. Once the master rounds are over (at the end of February) the playoffs will start. They will play the best of 5 series, and the loser is out.
So, the end of the season now depends on how well the team does (as usual), but means that even if we win the whole thing, we'll be done the 2nd week of April! Just in time to catch some winter in ND! Great!
Love and miss you all!!

Making Christmas cookies!
Yep, we finally made a decent batch!

Even daddy got in on the fun!

A little winter break snooze...

We finally got some snow, but it doesn't stick around for very long....fine by me!!

This kid. :)

Up on the hiking trail on a beautiful winter day!

Then, the next day we got a decent amount of snow again and our poor little car couldn't make it back up the mountain to our place.... Found a great spot to park it for the night though.

Not a bad view the next morning...
And we got to have some fun in the snow!

Uh oh....big sister colored little sisters face with a silver pen.

We were able to go up into the mountains with Matt and Kate for a couple days. We stayed in Gardena at the most amazing family hotel. Everything was made for kids, including robes and crocs for all!

Unbelievable views of the Italian alps!

That's David skiing down there....seriously. The speck right in the middle.

Prost!!

Good morning Gardena!

David and Matt took another half ski day....;)
We also went to Merano, another town about a half hour away for a couple days and found an amazing toboggan trail....3km down the mountain. So fun!!
Another amazing view from the hotel in Merano.

And finally, Elle showing a little sass.

Buon Natale! Frohe Weihnachten!

Seasons Greetings from Italy!!

We have already had a fun and adventurous December! It's starting to look a little bit like Christmas here after we had our first snowfall last night, but it's mostly melted already!
We are missing everyone, especially for Christmas, but we are also thankful to be here to celebrate!
We hope everyone has a blessed, and happy holiday! We send our love all the way from Italy! xo

Our little Elle got a nasty skin rash that we ended up seeing the doctor about. Going to the hospital was very interesting, and a little frustrating :-/
We got a prescription for antibiotics and this is what we got at the pharmacy. Just the powder to mix with water and shake.

Found a perfect spot to watch a movie :)

Driving home....Our house is the one on the left.

A couple pics of the amazing view again from our kitchen!

Nora made a pillow at kindergarten!

Christmas Tree Shopping!

David had a small break in his schedule with a few days off so we headed up to Innsbruck, Austria for a couple days.

After we left Innsbruuck, we headed up into Germany to Castle Neuschwainstein. Walt Disney designed the Disney Castle after it. David had visited it before as a teenager with his family, and wanted to bring the girls. It's only about a 3 hour drive from where we live, and is pretty amazing.

Before the 40 min hike up to the castle, which was awesome... :-/
You can see it behind us, above Elle's head.
